James Duncan is thought to have started as early as 1805 but the ‘Complete County Atlas’ is his best known work. First published in 1833 the county maps are engraved by Edward Hoare and J. Reeves. A fine atlas with detailed maps. Provenance: bookplate of Rogers, Nottingham in inside front cover; private English collection. Chubb 455.

With general map of England and Wales and a further 43 maps of the counties and Wales. Light print offsetting throughout otherwise an above average example.
