A further abridged version of William Camden’s ‘Britannia’ published by the Blaeu family in Amsterdam. For the maps they utilised those of Petrus Bertius from the 1616 edition of the ‘Tabularum Geographicarum’ which by this date were owned by them. Provenance: bookplate of R. P. L. Booker on inside front board. Chubb 55; Shirley BL T.Camd 4a; Skelton 24.

Duodecimo (135 x 85 mm.), contemporary full calf, rebacked. Boards blind panelled, spine with raised bands and gilt calf title. With 19 engraved maps some with light vertical creasing. Some tannin stain to the endpapers. Otherwise a fine example.
