This work is derived from the folio ‘Britannia’ by John Ogilby first published in 1675. It was not until 1719 that illustrated books based on Ogilby would be published. This work bears just one folding general map of England and Wales displaying the roads featured and their distances from place to place. The body of the work lists each of Ogilby’s 100 roads and describes in detail each one. The main work is undated but the sub-title to the Tables is dated 1712. ESTC T134021; Fordham (1924) p. 15, this edition not listed; Shirley (1988) Moll 2.
