William MacKenzie was active as a publisher from 1866 to 1895 and in this work he utilised the skills of Francis Sidney Weller, the cartographer, to produce a series of maps. They were derived from the Ordnance Survey. Evidence for the date of issue comes from the usage of the census data made available in 1893.
