This ornate title page with the Stuart coat of arms proudly supported by two horses is from the second French edition of Joan Blaeu’s ‘Atlas Major’, issued in 1667. This magnificent atlas was published in twelve volumes, this represented Scotland. BLAEU Joan (fl. 1598-1673) was the eldest son and business successor of Willem Blaeu. Koeman (1967-70) Bl 59 p. 268.
