Octavo, five volumes (220 x 150 mm.). Full contemporary mottled calf with marbled endpapers, ribbed spine with ornate gilt decorative in the compartments. each with gilt title and volume number. With 5 engraved title pages, 2 engraved portraits, and 677 plates (6 double page) including maps, plans, views and diagrams. Small area of wormhole for a few leaves in volume 3 not affecting images. In good clean condition.
