The ‘Geographical Dictionary’ was written by William Cobbett (1763-1835) but the cartographer is unidentified. There was a second edition in 1854 but none of the examples found bear any maps. Cobbett was self-educated and the son of a labourer. He became a Member of Parliament, a proficient writer and publisher of the Parliamentary Debates which was later taken over by Hansard. Carroll 97; Chubb 440.
