FIRST EDITION. A nice example of this appealing atlas which was designed to be a companion to Dury’s ‘Universal Pocket Atlas’, with a charming series of town plans based on those of John Rocque as stated in the title. Except for the map of the Isle of Wight the maps are coastal ones surrounding the whole of the British Isles. These are followed by the superb series of town plans. The date of publication is derived from that given to London on the contents leaf. Provenance: private English collection. Darlington & Howgego no. 129; Shirley BL T.Dury 2a.
