A beautifully engraved map of the region north of the Black Sea based on Mercator. The map centres on the region north of the Black Sea which includes the Ukraine. It is embellished with two cartouches surrounded by figures. The plate was originally engraved by Jan Jansson. After his death it was inherited by his son-in-law, known as Jansson-Waesberg, who published it in conjunction with Moses Pitt. Van der Krogt, P. (Atlantes) 1890:1B.1.
