A very rare map in an unrecorded state although an example has been located of the complete map. Shirley cites in his description of the third state that as the dedication is to one William Connelly Speaker of the Irish House of Commons who did not achieve this position until November 1715 there may well be an intermediate state before. This is it. The dedication is blank although faint signs of the first dedication can be seen. There are a total of seven states of this map. Charles Price published the map in association with John Senex in 1708 but it was not until 1714 that it was included in Senex’s ‘English Atlas’. Refer Shirley Price 2.
