This map of the Roman regions of Pannonia and Illyrica which are to the east of the Adriatic is by Abraham Ortelius. It is from the Latin edition of the ‘Parergon’ published in 1595. The map is derived from Giacomo Gastaldi’s map of south east Europe separately published in c.1561. It is based on the ancient sources of Bonfinius, Dionus, Livius, Plinius, and Aurelius Victor.
