A fine example of a typical Italian gouache painting most likely depicting an area in the Bay of Naples. It was the art medium of choice for the area. Gouache paints are thicker than watercolour, indeed the word guazzo in Italian means mud. The painting emits perfectly the feeling of the not humid air of the region.
