The plates for this series of maps were first engraved by Pieter van den Keere and only consisted of 44, they were later expanded to 63 for the first edition of the so-called miniature Speed. It relates to the folio edition of Speed’s atlas published also at this time by George Humble. Of the additional plates engraved for the first edition of 1627 this map of Wales was one.
