First edition of this first-hand account of Louisiana in a seminal year of its history and West Florida. The year 1803 would mark its hand over to the United States of America as part of the Louisiana Purchase. Pierre-Louis Berquin-Duvallon was a planter and writer in San Domingo who lived in Louisiana between the years 1799 and 1802. The two maps cover upper and lower Louisiana.
