Published in the ‘London Magazine’ in November 1761 at the close of the French and Indian War. It is derived from the Fry & Jefferson map of Virginia published c.1753 and now virtually unobtainable in its earlier form. It is engraved by Thomas Kitchin with an attractive rococo title cartouche.
