A fine detailed chart of Deer Island and the nearby walled city. Known as Busan the city was first designated as a trading port with the Japanese from the early fifteenth century. They were allowed their own settlement which is clearly shown on the map. The modern city of Busan in South Korea is a major city. The chart was surveyed by Commander John Ward and engraved by J & C Walker.
