A very rare separately published map of the English Channel by Philip Lea. It includes three separate copperplate prints of the St. Malo, the River Seine and the coast near Dunkirk. The map was issued in 1695 to celebrate the English victory over the French at Saint Malo. It was dedicated to Admiral Berkeley led the expedition and bombarded the town. Although unsigned it is undoubtably engraved by Herman Moll. Pritchard & Taliaferro’s ‘Degrees of Latitude’ no. 97.
