The first edition, uncorrected, of this chart of the mouth of the River Min in Fujian Province, China. It is just down river of the city of Fuzhou one of the five Chinese treaty ports set up following the 1842 peace treaty which concluded the first Opium War. Fuzhou then became open to Western merchants and missionaries.
