2610 x 145 mm., original wash colour, laid on contemporary linen, with stamp of the seller Stanford on the verso, folding into original publisher’s binding (165 x 110 mm.), ornate blind green cloth, with gilt title to cover, with 7 pages of text bound in, in good condition.
This extremely long map of the entire length of the River Thames is drawn to the scale of one inch to a mile. It records all the nearby towns, villages, roads and railway lines. Many with descriptive legends. The accompanying text describes the byelaws of the river, the various charges for boat registration and locks and the various forms of angling available.
