A manuscript Estate plan of Badingham Hall, north north east of Framlingham in the county of Suffolk. The Manor was the home of the Rous family, itself of notable history. It details each field, its size and nature, each of which is named and keyed. Two coats of arms are painted on, that on the left has been identified as being of the Rous family and sits atop a pair of dividers and scale of miles. Three sides are decorated with half compass roses. The figures of a sheep and a cow are placed in fields, a horse appears lower left and two dear in the upper corners, that on the left being worn. The whole is finished off with an extremely ornate title cartouche which details how to read the map. A very early and very decorative estate plan of the type which rarely appears on the market.
