This fine large chart extends some distance into the Atlantic Ocean to take in the south west coast of Ireland and eastward to the North Sea. With insets of Cork Harbour, Scilly Isles, Isles of Wight, the Downs, St. Malo, the Entrance of the River Seine, the coast of Calais to Boulogne and Plymouth Sound. Details include coastal profiles, compass roses, sailing directions, leading marks, lighthouses added in yellow and depths in fathoms. With additions to 1855.

Three sheets joined to make 990 x 1970 mm., laid on blueback paper with old canvas edging. A working chart with light soiling and browning, some short tears both before and after being laid down. Small thumbnail area of printed surface in the North Sea missing. With original paper sales label pricing the chart at 10s. 6d.
