Reduced version of the map by Martin Waldseemuller first issued in 1513. The third state of four with an attractive scrolled title above and latitude scales to the left and right. By now Lorenz Fries whose maps were first issued in the 1522 edition had died. The blocks found their way into the possession of Melchoir and Gaspar Treschel.
