Pomponius Mela’s “De Situ Orbis” was one of the classical texts on geography along with the more famous Ptolemy “Geografia”. This edition by the publisher Heinrich Petri included a series of small maps one of which is offered here. It shows northern Africa. Shirley BL Atlases G.Mela 1a no. 14.
