The first edition, uncorrected, of this chart of the mouth of the River Min in Fujian Province, China. It depicts the river from the present day city of Fuzhou to its mouth. Fuzhou (Fou Chow Fou) is shown at the left of the map and includes the bridge spanning the river. It was one of the five Chinese treaty ports set up following the 1842 peace treaty which concluded the first Opium War. Fuzhou then became open to Western merchants and missionaries. The chart was made following the survey of Captain Kellett in 1843.
