This map of the Iberian peninsula was a collaborative effort between both Abraham Ortelius and Charles de l’Ecluse (1526-1609) who was a botanist by profession. In 1571 they published a six sheet map of Spain. This example with Latin text to the verso is from the 1572 edition. Karrow 26/2 pp. 161-3; Meurer p. 127-29; Van den Broecke, M. #25.
