A fine series of engravings depicting scenes of the American Revolution including Boston, Lexington, Cornwallis’ surrender and the signing of the Treaty in 1783. The plates are mostly the work of the engravers Nicolas Ponce and Francois Godefroy. It should be noted that this work is the first French book to refer to the United States of America in the title.
