This map of Poland is based on a four-sheet woodblock by Heinrich Zell published in Nuremburg 1542. One of the sources for that map is believed to be Copernicus, a native of Prussian Poland. This is one half sheet map with sufficient margins. It is the earliest of Ortelius’ maps of Poland. It was replaced by a folio map in 1584.
