A plan of the city of Rome with extensive keys down both sides. The Weimar Geographisches Institut was founded by Freidrich Justin Bertuch in 1804 in Weimar to engrave, print and publish works of domestic and foreign interest. Many important cartographers worked within its walls including Gussefeld, the Steiler’s, Sotzmann and Weiland. Most probably issued in the ‘Hand Atlas’. Tooley’s Dictionary.
