A fine large scale map of Persia or modern day Iran from Pinkerton’s atlas. John Pinkerton (1758-1826) was born in Edinburgh but moved to London in 1781. He was the publisher of several works on geography and cartography but his largest atlas was the ‘Modern Atlas’ of 1815. Phillips 724.
