An attractive double hemisphere world map published by Pierre vander Aa. and originally issued by Jacob van Meurs in 1660. It is a reduction of a map by Arnold Colom. California is shown as an island, typical of the period. In this state the cartouche in the eastern hemisphere bears the title ‘Nouveau Carte du Monde’. Shirley 417 and Addenda.
