A Latin text issue of the famous double portrait of Gerard Mercator and Jodocus Hondius. Jodocus Hondius senior died in 1612 and in the following year his widow Coletta engraved this collectable piece as a dedication to her husband. It displays Gerard Mercator sitting on the left with Hondius, his successor in publishing the atlas, sitting to his right. In the background is a wall map of Europe handing on the wall.
