460 x 580 mm., lithographic map in early wash colour, folded as issued into original publisher’s cloth binding with original publisher’s paper title affixed, in very good condition.
This map was issued to illustrate the Crimean War of 1853-56. With insets of Constantinople, Sebastapol, St. Petersburg and Kronstadt. George Routledge (1812-88) was a bookseller and publisher in London. Provenance: C. Phillips 2003; private collection of Rodney Shirley. Tooley’s Dictionary.
