Johannes Lauremberg (1590-1658) was a writer, mathematician and historian born at Rostok. He began supplying maps to Willem Blaeu in 1630. But his most important contribution was to his ‘Atlas Major’. For this, arguably the greatest atlas ever published, he produced a fine series of maps of Greece. Koeman I BL 60A no. 493 pp. 208 & 274; Zacharakis, C. 1284.
