This map is usually found in separate sheets but here is joined as one for an entirely pleasing map. A second title in French runs across the top of the map ‘Carte des Royaumes de Portugal et d’Algarve …’ The map takes in all of Portugal and parts of western and southern Spain including Marbella and Valladolid. The map was included in the ‘Atlas Moderne’ first edition was in 1762 and it included maps by various cartographers including Rigobert Bonne, Jean Denis Janvier and Rizzi-Zannoni. This map was produced by Giovanni Antonio Bartolomeo Rizzi-Zannoni (1736-1814), born in Padua and a cartographer, surveyor, astronomer and mathematician. Tooley Dictionary; not in Conde (2003).
