A detailed map in eight sheets of the River Lune which extends from Lancaster to Borrow Bridge. Two of the sheets bear attached photographs as published. An extremely early example of topographical photography. No example could be found in the UK institutions listed on the COPAC website. Only the example at Lancaster University could be identified.

Large oblong folio (515 x 685 mm), modern half calf, green cloth boards with gilt calf title label affixed to upper board gilt framed. In eight large sheets complete with original paper wrappers, two of the sheets bear early photographs of the river.
