From Hondius’ miniature version of Mercator’s great atlas entitled the ‘Atlas Minor’, with Latin text. An analysis using Bonar-Law’s work shows that this example is from the first edition of 1607. The map is drawn from the folio Mercator first published in 1595. A Bonar-Law pp. 26-8; Van der Krogt, P. (Atlantes) 5900:351.
