This appears to be a later state of John Rocque’s magnificent four-sheet map of England and Wales first published by Robert Sayer in his ‘General Atlas’ of 1773. This state bears the imprint of Laurie and Whittle dated 1794 and comes from their ‘New Universal Atlas’. An inset map of the Scilly Islands is lower left and the whole is adorned with a large attractive cartouche upper right. Shirley BL Atlases T.Say 2a nos. 6 & 7.
