Girolamo Ruscelli’s edition of Ptolemy’s ‘Geography’ included newly engraved copperplates by Giulio and Livio Sanuto. First published in 1561 this example is in its first state as published in the very earliest editions. It is a modern depiction of the Nile Delta with the Pyramid’s depicted at the bottom of the map.
