Johann Georg Schreiber (1676-1750) was an engraver, mapmaker, and publisher in Leipzig. He was the son of Johann Christoph Schreiber, an engraver and mapmaker himself. The son produced material from about 1720. This fine map is from Schreiber’s ‘Atlas Selectus’, an undated atlas believed to have been issued from the mid 1730’s. Phillips (1909-) 609; refer Shirley (2004) T.Schr 1a, not in either example.
