Gerard Mercator’s regional map of England including the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and South Wales. The preferred first state with the more ornate title cartouche, stippled seas and Mercator’s imprint lower left. Along with French text to the verso and the pagination we can determine this is from the 1609 edition published just two years after the first. As such this example is a nice dark impression.
