As usual with John Arrowsmith this map is produced to a very high standard of accuracy. The map takes in present day Iran, the Persian Gulf, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of India eastwards to Delhi and Agra. The Arrowsmith publishers were founded by Aaron Arrowsmith. His son John Arrowsmith’s most notable work was the ‘London Atlas of Universal Geography’ for which this map was published. The families reputation for producing up to date and accurate charts is well known. Phillips Atlases 789.
