An uncommon sea chart depicting the area from the Chesapeake to Georgia beautifully engraved. Antoine de Sartine (1729-1801) was the French Naval Secretary who compiled these maps for the use of the French Navy during the American Revolution. Issued separately at first it was later included in the ‘Neptune America-Septentrional’ in 1780. Schwartz & Ehrenberg p. 202.
