An early Post route map of France with decorative side panels both sides including 10 city views of Roan, Lion, Bordeaux, Marseille and Bourges on the left. On the right side are Tours, Angers, Poitiers, Orleans and Nantes. The top panel contains a central view of Paris with vignettes either side of horses and postal carriages travelling in the direction of Paris. This is one of the very first Post route maps of France. The ornate title cartouche in the upper right-hand corner bears the address of Berey at ‘proche des Augustins’.
