A magnificent display of the genealogical family tree of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. An inset map of the Eastern Mediterranean features lower centre. The coats of arms of the five great powers in the region are also illustrated. It was published in the fourth volume of the encyclopaedic atlas by Henri Abraham Chatelain (1684-1743) entitled ‘Atlas Historique ou Nouvelle Introduction a l’Histoire, a la Chronologie & a la Geographie’.
