This little map was published in Christoph Weigel’s ‘Atlas Portatilis’ first published in 1720. Christoph Weigel (1654-1725) was the elder of a family of engravers and publishers in Nuremberg. He worked in partnership with the geographer Johann David Kohler (1684-1755), a professor in Altdorf and Gottingen. Provenance: D Green 2004; private English collection.
