In loose sheets, and issued as such, they were never bound in an atlas. These are also uncut examples, very rare. A fine example of the French edition of Mitchell’s hugely important map of the eastern portion of North America. The Mitchell was used in the Treaty of Paris to settle the American Revolution. It is rare to find pre-Revolutionary war examples of this map. Walter Ristow ‘A La Carte’ second edition, second impression, 1756, pp. 102-113.
