From 1766 to 1772 the London Magazine published a series of maps of the Wards of London. This followed on from the series of English County maps. This map of Aldersgate Ward includes two vignettes, a coat of arms and an attractive title cartouche. Hyde ‘Ward Maps of the City of London’, MCC 38 no. 4.i; Jolly Lond 253.
