An UNRECORDED STATE of George Thompson’s ‘New Map of London and its Environs’ which was first published 1 January 1823. It extends from Clapton to East India Docks, Camberwell and Paddington. The city of London is coloured in red wash. The references state that for the second edition the imprint below was reversed to ‘Hoare & Reeves’ as here. However there is no reference to a ‘Second Edition’ as cited, the date 1824 or a grid of squares. Darlington & Howgego 296 state 1a. Not in the British Library but refer Maps 3479.(36.).
