A fine UNRECORDED distance map of England and Wales. With very attractive side panels depicting ‘Perspective Views of the Principal Sea Ports of England’ including London, Bristol, Hull, Newcastle, Liverpool, Yarmouth, Portsmouth and Plymouth. In 1763 Richard Bennett produced a two-sheet map of a similar nature described by a later issue in Robert Sayer and John Bennett’s Catalogue of 1775. It is my opinion that the side panels described in that listing which match these perfectly were issued here with this single sheet map which I believe is also listed in the Catalogue. Holland Press ‘Sayer & Bennett’s Catalogue of Prints for 1775’ vol. II pp. 40 item 11 & 54 item 13.
