A map of the Isles of Man on a decent scale which was published in the February 1765 issue of the ‘Universal Magazine’. It was one of the leading and best illustrated newspapers of the mid-eighteenth century and published by John Hinton. It formed part of a series of maps of the English counties but the engraver is unidentified. Chubb (1927) 188; Hodson (1984-97) no. 253; Jolly (1990) I Univ-118.
